Industry and Individual Sponsors
The Electric Power Institute is a non-profit educational institute deriving its financial support from industry. Many companies have provided indirect support to the institute in the form of equipment donations, workshop participation, seminar speakers, senior projects & master's thesis projects for students, consulting and summer employment opportunities for faculty members.
The funding both companies and individuals have enabled EPI to support the following examples of activities:
- Faculty travels for conferences, professional development, and other scholarly activities
- Student travels for conferences and field trips
- Co-host technical seminars and presentations with the Power & Energy students club at Cal Poly
- Student projects, including course related projects, senior projects, and master's thesis projects
- Power lab equipment upgrades
